Typical communications within a simulator: The dynamic models of the process exchange data with the regulatory control and shutdown system, over a standard TCP/IP network and using an Application Program Interface defined by the DCS manufacturer. The data exchanged are displayed on the operator consoles over a proprietary network protocol. Hyperion has a demonstrated ability to develop the necessary interface between process models and the DCS.
