Hyperion Systems Engineering - Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd acquires Metals Supply Chain Solutions business

June 3, 2003 – NICOSIA, CYPRUS - Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd., which provides high quality custom made solutions and services to the industry worldwide, from their offices in Cyprus, Greece and Middle East, announced today that they have acquired Broner Metals Solutions from AspenTech. The acquisition will enable Hyperion to expand into new markets, providing even greater value to companies in the process industry by improving their profitability through increased operational efficiency.

Broner Metals Solutions specializes in Supply Chain Planning, Scheduling and Manufacturing Execution Systems specifically for the Steel and Aluminium industries. The Broner Metals Solutions team has more than 15 years experience in understanding the very specific and detailed planning, scheduling and production needs of the metals industry and has implemented solutions worldwide to improve the performance of metals supply chains and bring business benefits that improve competitiveness and reduce costs. All Broner Metals Solutions products have been developed specifically for the Metals industry. The product range includes Demand Management, Sales and Operation Planning, Availability To Promise, Capability To Promise, Advanced Planning and Scheduling and Manufacturing Execution solutions. Hyperion has acquired a majority of Broner Metals to become Broner’s parent company. Mr. David Mushin, a former Executive Vice President for AspenTech and a member of the Hyperion Board of Directors, is the CEO of Broner Metals Solutions Ltd and is also a significant shareholder. As part of the acquisition, Hyperion will be injecting extra working capital into the business as well as strong management oversight.
