Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd. sponsored the 3rd Panhellenic Conference in Chemical Engineering held on May 31st to June 2nd at the National Center for Scientific Research “DEMOKRITOS” in Aghia Paraskevi, Athens, Greece.
June 19, 2001 – NICOSIA, CYPRUS - Hyperion Systems Engineering Ltd. sponsored the 3rd Panhellenic Conference in Chemical Engineering held on May 31st to June 2nd at the National Center for Scientific Research “DEMOKRITOS” in Aghia Paraskevi, Athens, Greece. The conference was organized by the Chemical Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens (Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο) (www.chemeng.ntua.gr) in collaboration with the Chemical Engineering Departments of all Polytechnic Schools of Greece.
HYPERION, currently employing more than 60 Chemical Engineers in Nicosia and Athens, not only sponsored the conference financially but contributed to the Technical Sessions too. HYPERION’s Engineers authored and presented 5 papers, being the result of either technical experience they gained from problems solved during their employment with HYPERION or recent scientific research they performed at the University. HYPERION’s founder and current CEO, Dr. Symeon Kassianides, took part in a round table discussion with the title “Curriculum, Directions and the Future of the Chemical Engineering Departments” where he presented his views on the specific needs of the market for qualified Chemical Engineers representing the employer’s side.
